Who are we?

Our Statement of Beliefs and Goals

As true followers of Christ, we are Anti-Ecumenical and Noncharismatic Christians. Our local churches are house churches. We are neither Protestants nor Roman-Catholics. In theology we reject all five doctrinal points of Calvinism . We are in contact with other Christians who also share with us the Anabaptist ideals , described in the list of Anabaptist beliefs . If you share our Anabaptist ideals, then please join us in the Anabaptist Forum .

The only thing which makes us different from our dear brothers and sisters belonging to various Anabaptist churches, is that we believe that the correct form of public Christian meetings should be in the form of house churches . Moreover, we are very strict when it comes to Worship. We believe in the validity of one important principle which is called the fundamental principle of Worship . The principle says that we should not introduce new elements in the Worship of which the Bible does not say anything about. This principle is valid only for Worshiping God, and has nothing to do with mundane secular matters. Worshiping God is a serious thing and it concerns how we should approach God both in our private worship and in our public meetings. Worshiping our God is a holy thing, a separate thing, which is exclusively devoted to Him.

What follows is our view on the nature of Church, and a brief description of our Worship at our public meetings.

We believe that the visible Church is manifested through public Christian gatherings. However, we have to be aware of two senses of the word "Church."

The first one is understood as the invisible Church, as the Body of Christ consisting of all genuine followers of Christ, regardless whether some child of God is belonging to some local church or not. Every child of God is belonging to the Body of Christ by having the Holy Spirit in his or her life. To repeat, someone is a child of God regardless whether someone is belonging to some local church or not. It is Jesus who is our Savior and not the Church. The salvation is through Jesus Christ, and it is not through belonging to some local church. To be a member of some church, whether it is a house church or congregational, is neither a necessary nor a sufficient condition for salvation.

The second sense of the word "Church" is the local church, which should ideally be in contact with other local churches.

The local church is important, since it is there where the Worship of our Lord occurs when we participate in the Lord's Supper. Preaching and praying are important elements in the fellowship, but it is the very act of breaking the bread and drinking the cup, doing it in the fellowship, which is the most holy act of the Worship. We do this to remember the most fundamental historical event in the history of the humankind, namely the physical death of our Lord. By our symbolic act we declare the significance of His death, namely that He offered His precious, pure and sinless blood for the salvation of the human race. Equally we declare by our symbolic act His victory over the physical death, since He is the man who bodily resurrected from the death. By His bodily resurrection, He had given a hope for our freedom and the Vindication of our human glory in the God's image. We do this every Sunday until His Second Return (cf. 1 Cor. 11:26).

We are not practicing Charismatic gifts and we are skeptical towards all forms of State-oriented churches. We are also skeptical towards the Ecumenical union with the Roman Catholic Church and we reject all Calvinistic teachings . Our views are represented through many articles, which also defend our beliefs.

We wish to be in contact with all Christians who share our Anabaptist beliefs. All children of God are true brothers and sisters in the Kingdom of God, and each child of God is a miracle that had cost the life and blood of our Lord. Each child of God is precious in God's sight. We do not take for granted our fellowship but esteem it as a Holy and Living Body of our beloved Lord, where each member of His Body is connected with God's Spirit.

The cardinal attitude, which should be among children of God, is love. We cannot know our God if we do not have love, because God is love. We should more care for brothers and sisters in the Kingdom of God than for unbelievers. Our impression is that many Christians want to reach unbelievers, and that is a perfectly good thing to do. We are here as salt and light in this world. But we should not at the same time forget the need of those who already belongs to Christ. It is necessary to grow in a fellowship, where we care for each other, as true brothers and sisters. We are a true family because we have one Father who have shown His love towards us in Christ. Therefore we submit to Paul's words "As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith (Gal 610)" It is first and foremost to do good unto brothers and sisters belonging to the household of our precious faith, and then unto unbelievers.
